You might have noticed things are a bit quiet here. No, I'm not busy with other things. No, I haven't gone on some impromptu vacation. I've simply been doing this:
It's too hot to do anything and too hot to think. Especially indoors.
And as tough as it is for the humans in the house, I imagine my cat really drew the short straw with her permanent fur coat.
Anyway, things should be cooling down this week, so I'll be back with more elaborate posts soon.
And if you happen to have any tips to help cool me, my cat or this house down, please share!
I just clicked over from the comments on Angie @ Lariats and Lavender, nice to meet you! Oh my GOSH your kitty is adorable. I am trying to get my husband on board with adopting a cat but he's being very stubborn. Maybe I'll show him these pics -- he won't be able to resist, bwaha!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you! I hope he'll cave eventually;)
DeleteYour cat is so cute! Where do you live? It's been hot here lately but thank God we got some rain today :)
ReplyDeleteI hope the temperature will go down soon! Can't wait to say hello to Fall :)
Aw, your cat is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteAs for cooling down- I have no clue, other than spread out, like your cat :)
Oh, my! Your cat is such a cutie! Poor little thing all hot! Mine are like that, too :/. The important thing is to keep them hydrated. When Dimitri lived in Argentina he refused to drink, but now that we have a water fountain he drinks a lot :p.
ReplyDeleteAs for cooling the house, I really have no tip; sorry :/, hehe. Fall will arrive in no time ;) ... Although I don't it to, boo.
Hope you have a fun week, Laura! ;D
Thanks for the tip, I definitely do that. Whenever her nose is getting a bit dryer I put a saucer of water under her nose, otherwise she just forgets to drink more.
DeleteAh poor little kitty! And poor you! It's melting hot here, isn't it? Luckily today it's a bit cooler. I wanted to go to the cinema yesterday but it was too bloody hot! My advice is.. Do not move at all hahaha. No, take a feet bath and eat lots of ice cream. ;) <3
ReplyDelete*points* cuuuuuuuuuuuute!
ReplyDeleteHa! I love these photos. Such a pretty cat. :) My Yuko is as lethargic as ever, too. Florida heat's gettin' to everyone.

ReplyDeleteAw, poor kitty... my little guys have been too hot, too, but thankfully it's cooling down now. They don't get too excited about drinking water from their bowl, but they have one of the self-filling watering bowls now, and they drink from it all the time because they like the glugging sound when it fills back up. Gotta have that entertainment value with the hydration, I guess. :P
ReplyDelete(I discovered your blog through your comment on A Blissful Twist!)

Oh wow, I know the feeling! It may be August, but it's still pretty hot. Your kitty's got the right idea there :) It's cooling down here slowly but surely - just endured a storm last night that cleared the heat and mugginess right up.
ReplyDeleteI actually might have a little something that might help keep you cool! I don't know where I read this, but running cold water over your wrists can supposedly help you stay cool. Or putting ice on pressure points, if you can stand it! I've tried it before and it did help a bit.
