All Natural: Hugo Naturals

Despite the fact that I haven't been posting about natural skincare lately, I'm still very passionate about it and always try to buy 100% natural stuff. It's very tricky to find a good deodorant though. So every once in a while I go looking.

Which led me to Hugo Naturals. Now I can't say if the Sea Fennel & Passionflower deodorant will really work well, but it sure sounds amazing! It's 100% natural (like everything on the site!) and doesn't even contain alcohol.

I proceeded to check out the rest of their stuff and found some real gems. Like the Shea Butter & Oatmeal lotion above. Or Pineapple Coconut lip balm or Vanilla & Sweet Orange body butter. And loads of lovely soaps to choose from.

Also, they still have some amazing holiday products on sale! Like this amazing gift set with Pumpkin Spice body mist, soap and tinned candle. There's also one in Cranberry & Pomegranate. And they're all available separately too.

Check out their website for lots more! Like essential mists, hair care or baby products. Everything sounds delicious really! Can you tell I'm excited?!

Owl Things Considered

Of course I've seen some cute owl soaps before, but this one might be the loveliest one yet. The fact that it's 3D seems to really add something.

It has a vanilla brown sugar sent, which sounds pretty amazing too!

LUSHified: Ultra Bland

Ultra Bland is probably the most multifunctional LUSH product out there. It's a face cleanser, make-up remover and you can even use it as a cream sometimes. The girl at the store told me it's very soothing when your nose is all sore from a cold, I tried it and it really is!

The reason I bought it is mostly the make-up removal option. I find that if you want a make-up remover that works it's usually really harsh and leaves my skin feeling dry and irritated. This stuff is moisturising, mild, yet even manages to take off waterproof make-up without a fuss.

I still had some make-up remover in stock, but don't even feel like using it anymore. I love this stuff!

Extra tip: If you try a lip tint tester in store and can't get the color of your fingers, just dip it in some Ultra Balm and it comes right off;)

GlossyBox: February

First there was the very first GlossyBox, then one for Christmas, then Valentine's Day, but this is the first time there is no special occasion whatsoever. It was still pretty good though.

I got six items, and though all where tiny there was one thing that made up for that...

The Eos lip balm! I've been wanting one for ages, but couldn't find them anywhere. I'm so glad I finally get to cross it off my wishlist. It's 100% natural and 95% organic and I got one in delicous "Summer Fruit".

Another thing I really liked was the Thierry Mugler Womanity sample. It's teeny tiny, but very cool because of the way it works and the little face in the packaging! It smells great too.

Then there's a little Shiseido cream. The jar looked tiny enough as is, but when you flip it you see you really only get about 25% of the expected volume.

Thankfully there's still a L'oreal primer, that is small, but actually full sized. There's also a Doctor Babor anti-aging cream, which I don't need yet, but might be able to make my mom happy with (despite it being tiny as well).

And lastly there's a Koh hand bath fizzie. I've never tried anything like it and am quite curious about it.

And that's it for this month!

I wasn't super excited about the majority, but I'm glad a few things really stood out. And I haven't tried anything yet... so I might still be blown away.

What did you think?

All-Natural: Burt's Bees

Burt's Bees has only just gotten popular where I live. I remember I only used to spot it when I went to the US, and oddly enough always in bookstores.
Though it popped up here a while back, I hadn't tried any products until recently. But a friend of mine gave me a bottle of Milk & Honey bodylotion a little while ago. I really love it, though it smells more like coconut than anything else.

It seems the brand is mostly known for their lip balms, so it made sense to try one of those first. I actually have a lip tint, in the color Caramel. It feels very tingly, but I'm slowly getting used to it. And the shade is very nice and natural.

Also, you might recall my raving review of the Lush Smitten hand cream. Well... I got a chance to smell Burt's Bees' Almond Milk hand cream today and I'm pretty sure that will be my replacement some day! I'm also very curious about the Banana hand cream.

Have you tried anything by Burt's Bees? Anything you highly recommend? Or perhaps even advise against?

LUSHified: Smitten

If you're a regular reader, chances are you know about my love for LUSH. This winter I started visiting their stores on a regular basis and have grown more and more fond of their products. Besides them smelling delicious and just being awesome, they are 100% natural and that's what draws me to them the most.

Where is all this leading, you ask? Well...since I've noticed some fascination with the brand from you guys too, I've decided to feature my favorite products one at a time. First up: Smitten!

This is a tricky one, because it's hardly available anymore. I don't see why, as it's the best hand cream of all time. It smells like Snow Cake, a scent always available for Christmas. I don't want to bore you with a complete list of ingredients, so instead I decided to make a short list of the good stuff;)

What I love about this cream is that it's not greasy, yet very soothing for even the driest winter hands. I'm really gonna miss this stuff when I'm finished with my jar, thankfully I still have a long way to go.

Either way, if you're lucky enough to spot one of these, I recommend you get it. Unless you somehow can't stand the delicious Marzipan scent of course...

Do you have any all-natural hand cream tips for when I eventually run out of this one?

GlossyBox: January

Since my trip I've felt the need to change a lot of things up, hence the new layout. I've been wanting to do something with a white background and bigger pictures for ages and this is what came out of my experiment today. Hope you like it too!

Also, my new GlossyBox arrived and it had a really cute Valentine's Day theme.

Due to the holiday it also came with a little extra gift, a pocket mirror. And I really liked this month's items too.

This is an eyeshadow pencil by Golden Rose, I already tried it and really like it.

Carrot face cream! I've heard good things about the brand, so I look forward to trying it.

A face mask with kaolin, which is always very soothing for irritated skin.

A fast drying hairspray.

And, and this is probably my favorite, a Cherry Blossom shower gel by l'Occitane. I have never tried any of there stuff, but am so excited to finally do so. I sniffed it already and it smells divine!

Also, I hear there are 3 more of these box-subscriptions in the making. I think I'll stay true to GlossyBox for a while longer, but there's one that I do really want to try as well. I'll keep you posted!

All Natural: Sabon

One of my current favorite stores is Sabon. I don't think it's all natural, but it comes very close and their products sure feel good. Besides they don't do animal testing, try their best to be "green" and they are pretty picky about their ingredients. Unfortunately that does show in their price tags.

Very high on my ongoing wishlist was a Sabon Body Scrub, and last month that wish was granted when a friend of mine sent me one for Christmas. It has a divine Vanilla Coconut scent, it's lovely to use and it leaves you with super soft skin afterwards.

But that was not all! I also received a Vanilla Body Lotion that really went beyond my expectations. It, yet again, has a delicious scent, it is moisturising and it is the tiniest bit fluffy. I love it!

Another thing I love about these products is that you need to use a lot less than you'd expect. I can see both of these lasting a long way. I'm really happy about that, because I'd rather not part with them anytime soon.

---

All their products come in glass jars/bottles and that has pros and cons to it. It might be a bit dangerous depending on what your bathroom looks like, but it's also easier to recycle. My fear of dropping the huge jar full of scrub combined with the size of our shower, led to me reusing a small plastic jar from a Body Shop scrub that I fill up every once in a while with the new Sabon scrub.

---

Anyway, if you ever come across one of their stores I recommend you pop in. They have a very antique and authentic feel to them and the employees are always willing to help you try their products. I once let them cover half my face with a mud mask in the shop window of a very busy shopping street, but if you'd rather not look like a fool you can always let them scrub your hands instead.

All Natural: Badger

One of my resolutions is to switch to natural products where possible. When you read the ingredients and 85% percent sounds chemical it just doesn't make sense to me to put that item anywhere near your skin. Not to mention what it does to the environment.

So any product I finish I try to replace with something more natural. You'll probably find more of these brands here soon, but I want to kick things off with Badger.

They already had me at their logo and name. This has to be the cutest brand I have ever heard of and everything they make sounds divine!

They have a variety of balms for all sorts of areas and issues. From lip balms to anti-bug balms. And each item comes in the cutest packaging with an amazing illustration.

I love that it's a family business and that they're staying true to what they believe in. They work as a team, are very "green", do a lot for charity and understand the importance of fun.

It's hard to get your hands on any Badger items where I'm from, but I'm definitely keeping my eyes open for these amazing things.

Have you ever tried any Badger products?

Christmas Shopping: Silver Edition

So I've been enjoying the holidays, been sick and been shopping a bit too. I was hoping to catch some post-Christmas sales and I did. And how!
Today I'm showing you some awesome silver stuff I picked up.

I've been wanting a pair of brogues so bad for so long. I went to the store to return a sweater and these caught my eye, they happened to be my size as well. And these brogues really go beyond my wildest dreams. One wish granted!

The day after Christmas I got an email from Lush saying they had 50% off their Christmas stuff. Remember I said I really wanted the "Seasons Greetings"? Well I raced to the store, managed to get that as well as some other awesome stuff, including these:

When I reviewed Bridesmaids I mentioned I really wanted her sweater, right? Well I found one. Not exactly alike, because...drumroll please... mine even has pockets with bows!

So I got 3 things I've been wanting to get for ages but had pretty much given up on ever getting. I'm so excited! I got some more cute stuff I'll show you guys soon and of course I'll do a post on what I got for Christmas.

Have you been to any post-Christmas sales yourself? Picked up anything nice?

GlossyBox: December

The second GlossyBox was yet another special one because it had a Christmas theme, as you can clearly see.

It came with 6 items, instead of 5, and a cute candy cane.

There was a full sized volumizing mouse, a miniature Dermalogica cleaner and a miniature Koh handcream.

In the make-up department: a nice black kohl(+coupon for a discount), a sample of Scaredy Cat eyeshadow and some Cowshed lip balm.

I haven't had the chance to try everything yet, but so far the eye shadow is my favorite. It's super cute and the perfect color for little highlights.

Well that's it for the Christmas box. I am very happy with it and am definitely sticking around for next month.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?

My Christmas Wishlist

Over the past few weeks I've seen so many amazing things online. Since it's December today, I thought I'd put them all together in a Christmas wishlist.

Superheadz cameras have been on my wishlist for a long long time. All the colors are lovely, but I have to say this Light Blue Kumo San is definitely my favorite.

I've been looking at index stamps like these, seems so handy to use in my diary. And it looks adorable too.

I don't think I've ever seen sewing pins as cute as these, have you?

It's nice to have a little speaker for your MP3 player, I know there are some fun ones out there, but non can beat these tiny wooden ones.

I've never had a satchel in my life, I think it's time to change that.

Practical owls are awesome! I love that you could even keep track of 2 time zones on this watch necklace.

And as it's time for sweaters!
You can even get santa hat pins to pin all the little kittens, these sweaters are the best find ever!

Too bad Lush can be so expensive. I think I'll keep my eyes open to see if there are any after Christmas sales I can snatch this up. But I'd settle for the "Little Green Bag";)

I've been eyeing these cuties for a while now.

I just can't resist quirky things like this.

I love this set of amazing 6 pairs of earrings!

What do you have on yours?
