Owl Things Considered
As I said yesterday, I found some owl things that turned my frown upside down. And this is also a chance to fill you in on some exciting news!
I am moving before the end of the year. Yes, I'm getting my own place. And I'm very excited about decorating it! However I have yet to get the appartment, measure it all and pick the colors. So I'm keeping myself from buying too much stuff for it just yet. However when I popped in to H&M yesterday, I figured I could always make room for this bathroom mat and these guest towels.
Aren't they adorable?
The kitchen is all natural wood, so this apron will look amazing there! They have bedroom items in the same fabric, so I might have to get some of those later on. If it fits my color scheme of course.
I just browsed the Home-department online and it looks great! When the time comes I am definitely going back for more awesome things!

Circle Songs #19
"All through the night, until the light of day, and we are doomed to play..."
Werewolf - Cat Power
There was supposed to be a Halloween party just now. I showed up in full costume, in the pouring rain, for nothing. Thankfully I found the cutest owl things that made my mood do a complete 180! I'll show you soon.

Spotted
My friend Olga from wassupbrothers is currently Etsy's Featured Seller! If you haven't read the interview yet, you should head on over there and check it out. Anyway, it inspired me to do a spotted all about one of the creatures she makes: the wingless bird, the Kiwi!
Starting with her Fidjii of course.
I've also always loved the illustration on this shirt.
This ring is cute on both sides! I really love the idea of a hidden heart in the palm of your hand.
This pillow is a great way to add a cute animal to a very grown up home.
I love those simple animal necklaces. The ones with bunnies or owls, but this unconventional one is very cool as well.
If you're good with knitting needles you can get a free pattern to make one of these.
As usual, a stamp! I bet this would look great as a hidden surprise on the corner of an envelope.
And this cartoon always makes me feel a little sad, but never fails to make me laugh.
{Don't know the source! If you have it, let me know!}
And last, but not least. Here's a lovely animation:

Lovely Movies: Restless
This was one of those movies I desperately wanted to see on the big screen, but miraculously missed. Thankfully that seemed like a good excuse to pick up the dvd.
As mesmerized as I was by the trailer and as much as I was looking forward to this film, part of me was afraid that it would be a bit of a downer after a certain point. I feared that what started out as an upbeat, quirky story, would abruptly end in a sad and inevitable cliché. Thankfully that wasn't the case. The whole thing was perfect.
You can bend my one minute rule a little bit. Maybe watch a minute and a half. Or just watch it a few weeks before actually seeing the movie...
Anyway, this is an instant favorite of mine. It has great humor. It's sweet, but not too sweet. It has characters you haven't seen before. Mia Wasikowska is magnificent as always. Oh, and it makes you want to dust of your old game of battleship too.
Go see it!

Wishlist
If you know Kate from Scathingly Brilliant, you might also know she has a bunch of adorable shops. I recently spotted some items in her "Sweet and Lovely" shop, that really are sweet and lovely.
These rainbow sweater clips for instance. I absolutely love this idea!
And this is one of the best collars I've ever seen. It might not be for every day, but I suppose special things should be saved for special occasions, right?
And up last is this lovely simple cat brooch. Don't you love that color? I just finished knitting a dress -pictures coming soon- in that exact shade. So I think they'd be a perfect match!
Amazing accessories, right? Click here to see more.

Owl Things Considered
There are so many things on Etsy that I love, but every once in a while I still find something that somehow really stands out. Pannikin's threadholders for example.
Unfortunately they're too expensive to get enough of them for all your threads, but they're so unique, and most of all, so cute! And having just one or two for a current project would be pretty amazing too.
But that's not all. This shop is filled to brim with amazing items. Ranging from craft handmade craft supplies to ready-to-use items.
Just look at these buttons for example. Aren't they the cutest? Those pink flowers might just be my favorite. Though I'm really loving everything in the picture below as well.
You'll also find a nice selection of earrings and brooches. They're a bit pricey, but very cute as well.
And I love this tea towel as well. I'll get my own place soon and I bet this would look great in my future kitchen!
Great items, aren't they? If you want to see more, and I have a feeling you do, visit Pannikin.

Circle Songs #18
"And we all seem to need the help of someone else. To mend that shelf, of too many books..."
Big changes are on their way. I might need to wait until the new year before I can take action, but plans are definitely being made. And that "Autumn vacuum" I felt before, that quiet, is suddenly very helpful.

Spotted
Perhaps it's all the honey I've been eating, but I've really been enjoying bears lately. Like owls they can be very dangerous in real life, but very cute on items. Enjoy!
Here's a beautiful faux taxidermy! I love that color too.
I've seen some cute watches, but this one is, hands down, the absolute cutest.
If you somehow don't know Pony Chops, you are in for a fantastic surprise. Check out Chantal's blog as well!
And I happened to find the perfect socks for those shoes too.
I'm really liked this shirt as well. I think I might have a bit of a weakness for charcoal shirts, though I can't say I own a whole lot of them.
This illustration is adorable, isn't it? It makes me smile each time I come across it.
And I think this little creature would brighten up any work day if you had it at your desk!
This brooch is very high on my wishlist. Might have to spoil myself and get it. First I need to find an excuse though.
Beautiful print! I love the shapes, the colors and also the antropoformic look of the bear.
I don't think I've ever seen a planter as amazing as this one. And I love how cool it looks with succulents.
The collection isn't really done without a stamp, now is it?
