My Valentine's Day

Though I didn't have any special Valentine's Day plans, I still made it a special day. Somehow the holiday made sure I was in an extra good mood, so even the simple stuff made me really excited.

I made myself some chai, which I tend to do on a daily basis these days. It's just so good! On special occasions I pop in some flower shaped marshmallows. The cake below, or more accurately: the whipped cream below, was a freebie from a shop I visited. Isn't that sweet?

These temperatures are perfect for knitting and crocheting. And the colors seemed perfect for the day.

My cat was lying in the weirdest position. Perhaps I should've taken a less close-up shot, that might have shown it better. Either way, she probably has that stunned look on her face because she didn't understand why we were laughing at her.

Like I said, it was a pretty normal day, but I felt really happy. Even more so when I found out I'd won an amazing giveaway over on Kayte's blog. But more on that later...

What did you do on Valentine's Day?

  1. Aw, I love cats. Your one looks so funny in that position. My cat used to do so many things that made us laugh, and I swear she used to get angry at us for doing so!

Great blog by the way, I'm now following xx

    1. Sorry to hear that! Staying in perhaps isn't as fancy as having dinner somewhere, but at least you know what's coming, right? And you can change shoes as often as you'd like;)

      Hope you still enjoyed yourself!

  7. Glad you had a nice Valentine's Day, lady! Ron and I decided to stay in and cook dinner. We didn't want to fight the crowds at any restaurant. It was simple and sweet :) ... Your cat is so cute!
