Spotted
I've seen some amazing things with feathers recently and I thought I'd share them with you.
First up, a beautiful belt, I know I'f be wearing this very often if I had one!
I love the look of hair feathers and would love to try some this summer.
This boutonniere is so beautiful!
Possibly the coolest nail art I've ever seen.
My stamp collection is still growing! I wouldn't mind adding this one to it.
This asymmetrical dress is so simple, yet so stunning. And that color is perfect!
Though made from clay, these feathers look so delicate. I love everything about this necklace!
Have you found any nice feathery items lately?

Lovely Movies: Le Petit Nicolas
I saw the sweetest film yesterday! If you're familiar with either French or children's books, you may have heard of the Le Petit Nicolas books. Well, it has been made into a wonderful movie!
It may be a children's movie, but it is definitely very entertaining for adults as well. It has such a special vibe and a lovely quirky sense of humor. Also, the set and the way of filming are fantastic!
I couldn't find a trailer with English subtitles, but I did find the entire movie on YouTube, you can watch it here.

Catherine Reese makes so many lovely vases, cups and plates! I just love all her colorful drawings on her beautifully simple pottery.
The bird vases have been in my favorites for ages, but I recently fell in love with this succulent planter too.
I also love that most items are multifunctional. Those cups and vases would make some beautiful penholders too!
Go the the shop to see her bowls, plates and even necklaces.

Pretty Paper Art
Though I usually post about paintings, I love other types of art as well. Collages and paper art for instance. And I just found a wonderful Etsy shop called tinyfawn with the cutest paper creatures.
But my favorite thing about it has to be that all animals ooze personality.
Check out tinyfawn's Etsy for loads of other birds and forest creatures.
All creatures look so simple, yet so lifelike and sometimes the layers of paper are so clever and intricate that they look like shadows and give the illusion of being 3D.
But my favorite thing about it has to be that all animals ooze personality.

Circle Songs #5
"But when the truth is told, we're all dreamers you know..."
Red Wine Lips - Lisa Mitchell
This song has such a strange effect on me, it always makes me feel like I'm outdoors on a summer's day just after sunrise. No other song has ever made me feel a warm breeze on my arms. It's strange, but good strange.

Lovely Movies: Whip It
It seems every movie Ellen Page does is amazing. And I love how she can nail anything from quirky art house characters to really intense roles like Hard Candy. Anyway, the latest movie I saw was Whip It.
Once again, here's a trailer I recommend you only watch the first minute of:
It's actually Drew Barrymore's debut in directing and she did a fantastic job! It's a fun movie with a great cast and a not too obvious ending, which always earns some bonus points. I expected it to be a nice movie, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. Enjoy!

Pretty Paintings: Kat Cameron
Today I bring you the amazing digital art of Kat Cameron. It's so beautiful and delicate and sometimes just a tad bit dark. I love it!
And of course she scores extra points for making a stellar owl!
In each of her works she really seems to think about color. To me, it's even one of the things that stand out most. The color somehow really sets the tone and atmosphere for the story behind the image.
And often I wish I knew the story behind the girl in each piece. They just seem so interesting and full of life and even history.
Kat Cameron not only has a beautiful shop on Etsy, but she also has an Envelop store with pillow cases and totes.
And for all you fashionistas out there, she can even draw you a custom What I Wore portrait. Isn't that amazing?!
And on top of all that, she runs an awesome blog! I'm definitely keeping my eye on this girl, I sense great things coming.

Bird of a Feather
My dad and I have quite a few things in common, but our love for books and bookstores is perhaps even the biggest similarity. So on Father's Day I gave him one. And wrapped it beautifully! If I may say so myself, and I think I may.
Where I'm from Father's Day is called Vaderdag, and us being very fond of Star Wars as well, this seemed to be the perfect card.
Did you do anything special or give any gifts to your old man?

Wishlist
It's about time I brought my wishlist back on this blog, I've seen so many lovely things lately! Very high on my list is the amazing jewelry from Every Bear Jewel on Etsy.
I am smitten with the rings Setsuko makes! The animal rings are so clever and so pretty, not to even mention all different colors they come in depending on the gem stone.
And I'm always excited to see designers make beautiful almost fairy-like plants, they can have such a magical vibe. You can probably guess I really love all the leaf rings as well. Even the smallest and simplest one is absolute perfection!
The entire shop is filled with lovely pieces, from more elaborate rings for special occasions, to amazing humbler ones you could wear every single day. I know I would.
Also, see Setsuko's flickr account for many other design projects or her other Etsy for feather earrings.
