I can't even tell you how excited I was when this huge envelope came in from Ashlie Blake! I knew it contained my portrait and though I was certain it would be amazing, I had no idea what it would look like.
If you've seen Ashlie's work you know she's talented. But I can now tell you from personal experience that she can do an amazing portrait too! Apart from the painting being absolutely beautiful, I also really feel she has painted me. To get a bit vague perhaps, I recognize the "soul within" as well as all the obvious external features.
I was glad she included an owl as well. She makes many wonderful owls and I'm so happy to have one in my portrait too.
Below you can see the entire painting, isn't it incredible?! I love everything about it, the colors, the flowy composition and the magical atmosphere.
