Moons: Shop Update!

I haven't made any new designs in ages. In fact the last one were the woodland creatures a year and a half ago. But now that I have time again, I've been sewing too. Here's the first update -there will be more very soon- and it's moons!

Moon phase items were really big a while back, but I think they'll never really be out of style. What outfit wouldn't look even cuter with a little moon shining at you? I know there are silver-people and gold-people, so I made both!

And bookmarks too, of course! Aren't these perfect for any magical story?! Also, they're pretty unisex, so they make a cute gift for anyone really. Anyway, I'm definitely keeping one for myself, because I love them!

In the Mail...

I was fortunate enough to receive this amazing bib necklace from An Astrid Endeavor and I just can't get enough of it! It is so unique and colorful and it turns even the greyest and simplest of shirts into an awesome outfit!

Not only that, it is really soft as well. I own necklaces that irk me, necklaces I don't mind wearing, some necklaces I don't feel, but this might be the first one that actually feels cozy and comfortable. Like fuzzy slippers for your neck!

And it is seriously packed with nifty little finds! In fact one of my favorite things about it is the clever way Astrid made the silver necklace part of the design of the actual bib. Now that is what I call a finishing touch!

I really recommend you visit Astrid's shop on Etsy! It is full of pretty jewelry and ornaments. And it has a lovely mix of styles: vintage, geometic, native. So there really is something for everyone. Including you owl lovers!

Woodland Creatures: Shop Update

It is finally time to unveil a collection I've been wanting to make for ages. I did a lot of sewing this past month, followed by waiting for the sun to come out so I could take pictures, but here it is: my Woodland Collection!

I already had plenty of owls in my shop, so I now focussed on some other lovely creatures. All designs are available both as bookmarks and brooches.

There is still time left to order for the holidays, so if you need that perfect gift for your fox/raccoon/squirrel/hedgehog-loving friend, you can make them happy with a handmade bookmark or brooch. Or spoil yourself of course!

New items in the Shop!

Last month I made a new line of brooches for the shop. I listed them this morning, so I can now reveal them to you!

It's all about bows! But of course I had to combine it with owls. And I also used some other charms, like deer.

And cameras! And even these adorable little bunnies. More different creatures/charms will probably follow.

I picked the colors I thought matched the charm best, but if you want a different color, it can definitely be arranged.

Owl Things Considered

This morning I stumbled upon what's possibly the cutest owl jewelry I have ever seen! iamabird on Etsy has some amazing handpainted necklaces for sale and most of them depict owls.

I'm always very fond of the combination art/wood. And it seems to work especially well with woodland animals like owls.

What I love about these two above+below, is that it looks like the owls are actually living inside the necklaces, instead of just being framed as a picture.

This shop is owl paradise, honestly it seems like there is an infinite amount of one of a kind pieces and every single one is beautiful!

In the unlikely case you follow my blog yet are not into owls, there are also loads of other necklaces to choose from.
