Last month I knit my very first sweater. I've been dying to show you guys but haven't gotten round to it before. But... here it is! (Pardon the picture! Not a lot of daylight and not a lot of time...)
It took quite some hard work as it was a pattern for quite small needles, but it was fun to do and I'm pleased with the result.
The yarn was given to me by a friend that wasn't going to use it anymore. As a thank you I made her a cowl with it. I really love those buttons by the way!
She seemed to love my sweater and was really happy with the cowl when I gave it to her yesterday. Though I absolutely love cowls, I know they're not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm glad they were hers too.
Are you busy crafting anything?
This looks great! I really like that shade of purple.

ReplyDeleteAt the moment I'm sewing a ball gown for myself...if you can call that serious crafting ;)

Wow, how amazing!
ReplyDeleteWow, it is absolutely lovely! I wish I could knit something like that (or anything at all, for that matter!)
ReplyDeleteThe colour is gorgeous and I love all the little details. You are a knitting star!
Also, the cowl is lovely. I love them!
Such a lovely sweater! And cowls are always cool! Love the little bows on the sweater arms.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the lovely comments, I'm so glad you like it!
ReplyDeleteAnd Immie- Yes, those are ribbons, or well pretty close to ribbons haha. I thought olive would look great with the purple. I actually have a pair of ribbed pants in the same color green, but have yet to redo the hem first.
I love the sleeves on that sweater. It looks very cosy :)
