Interview with Pam Creates

Today I wanted to shine the spotlight on head sponsor Pam who has a lovely Etsy store full of scrapbooking supplies. She very kindly answered a few questions so you can get to know her a little better. Enjoy!

What is it you love most about scrapbooking?

Creating something that will last for generations to come and knowing that my scrapbooks will be passed down for other and enjoyed.

When did you first get into scrapbooking?

When my daughter was about 2. So about 10 years ago.

But I have been doing crafts since I was about 7.

Do you have any tips for people who'd like to start scrapbooking?

The best tip I have is to pick one event and start with that. Birthdays are the easiest and have many items on the market to create with. Books with scrapbook sketches or templates are also a wonderful way to start. They give you your basic layout and all you do is add the pictures, papers and embellishments as you like.

Do you have any other creative hobbies?

I love creating digital items as well in photoshop. Bookmarks, gift tags and scrapbook embellishments. They are so much fun to create and use in your scrapbook layouts.

What's your fondest crafting memory?

When my grandma would teach me to sew. She had a room all set up and we would make all sorts of fun items on her sewing machine. It was always so much fun to go to grandmas and sew something special with her help.

Be sure to check out Pam's shop! It's filled with loads of fun items and lots of themed things for Autumn, Winter and the holidays. She's currently having a Black Friday sale with 25% off your entire order. You can also check here, for more of her offers.

New in the Shop: Clickable Collars ...and more!

I've been working on a new product and even though there will be more, there's already a nice selection available on my Etsy.

Peter Pan collar necklaces with.... tah dah... interchangeable designs! I am so excited about this!

Each collar comes with a matching bow, but you can take the bow off and, within seconds, click in a new design!

That however is not all. I'm making more products with the same base. So if you have a collar with a certain design, you can also wear the same design in your hair! There will be more, but bobby pins are already available.

Nice trick to change things up every now and then, isn't it? You just alter your jewelry, hairaccessories, or whatever else may come in the future, to fit your mood or outfit of the day.

And you can always add to your collection by getting a new design to click onto your collars or hairpins.

P.S. If you'd like a collar in a certain color or want a certain design as a "clickable" you are always welcome to ask of course.

DO NOT FORGET TO ENTER THE US AND CANADA ONLY GIVEAWAY

New Layout!

I am very excited about my new layout! The idea in my head was slightly different(and way more complicated to arrange), but I think I incorporated the basic idea, vibe and colors. Hopefully it looks good on a Windows computer as well.
I still have to figure out how to get the fonts and colors in the posts right, but I guess I'll just have to try and see.

Don't you just love this little owl?

I'd seen it in my dad's shop a bunch of times and was always secretly admiring it. One of the last times I visited, my grandma said I could pick an owl I liked. With this one among them it was an easy choice. And it soon inspired a brand new look for this blog.

In case you were wondering, it's made of an antler. Deers shed their antlers once a year, craftsmen find them and make them into all sorts of lovely things.

Anyway, I hope you like the new look. And please don't forget to enter the giveaway today. I will announce the winner tomorrow. Good luck!
